- When are the admissions notified?
> Admissions are notified in all major newspapers all over the country. You can also visit the university website for details.
- Who can apply for the PGDIPHC Programme?
> The PGDIPHC programme is open to a graduate in any field with an aptitude & interest in the subject. The keywords are aptitude & interest. Students with experience in the health sector will be preferred.
- What are the courses offered in the programme?
> Understanding health, Communication in health, Health campaigns & Behavioural Change Communication, and Advocacy in Health are offered in the first semester. The second semester will be spent on a practicum that can be done with a specific organization. Students will also build a media portfolio comprising a variety of platforms.
- What is the total intake?
> The total intake is 15 seats.
- What am I expected to do during the One-year programme?
> The one-year programme is a rigorous one with lots of activities. You are expected to attend classes regularly. No part-time jobs please. Guest lectures, producing media, seminars, research papers, film screenings, are among the few things that you do during the programme. All these, besides the regular classes of course! Also, when the campus radio goes on air, you will also actively participate in the running of the radio station.
- What facilities does the department offer in terms of equipment, library etc?
> Check out the Facilities page for an overview. The University has a well-equipped library with all the books required for the programme. You will also receive hand-outs from faculty members either hard or soft copy.
- Are there hostel facilities?
> Yes, but limited. Be prepared to make your own arrangements in case you don’t get hostel accommodation. Please check the university website for more details. Your stay in the hostel is limited to the duration of the programme (2 yrs) only.
- What is the fee structure?
> Please refer to the prospectus for exact fee details.
